Hey, it’s Gabriel here again with this week's edition of Uncrowded strategies.
My weekly private notes on 🧪what I’m building, ❤️ how I’m growing my family, 💰my investment portfolio, and the weird things I’m doing to 🧬optimize my health this week, summarized so you can read it in under 2 minutes
So why 2120 mg? You’ll find out…
🧪 The Business Experiment
(Current Focus: AI as amplification, not automation)
Most people are trying to use AI to automate (replace the human). I think this is a mistake. We aren't at "Human vs. Machine" yet; we are at "Human vs. Human with better tools."
I’m shifting my focus from automation to amplification.
The Strategy: Instead of asking AI to create generic work, I am feeding it my specific data sources (eg. meeting transcripts, past memos, journal entries)
The Tool: I’m building custom Google Gemini GEMs to act as an exoskeleton for my brain. Gemini 3 recently underwent a major 1M-context-window update.
The Goal: Teach the AI to think like me so I can move faster, rather than just having it do cheap work for me.
❤️ The Partnership (Marriage & Parenting)
I recently noticed a distinct awkwardness when others express appreciation towards me. My default setting is to deflect, downplay, or immediately change the topic.
The Realization: Being loved openly is a skill, not a given. And if I can't receive it, I can't properly give it to Zoey or the kids.
The Challenge for the week: When someone praises you, do not deflect. Do not praise them back immediately. Just say, "Thank you, I appreciate that," and let the moment sit. It’s harder than it sounds.
💰 The Portfolio
I am taking some chips off the table. I’m trimming about 15% of my positions, specifically in high-flyers like $TSLA, $PLTR.
The Uncrowded Take: The market feels overheated. While everyone is chasing the AI narrative, I believe most of the hype is already priced in.
The Move: I see more potential downside than upside right now, so I’m building a cash position to buy the dip later potentially.
🧬 The Protocol (Health & Weirdness)
I discovered that most people are under-dosing fish oil and taking the wrong type. I’ve switched to a high-dose EPA protocol not DHA (specifically Nordic Naturals EPA Xtra).
The Protocol:
Dose: 4 softgels/day (2 with breakfast, 2 with dinner).
Stats: ~2,120 mg EPA / ~520 mg DHA.
Why EPA Dominant? While DHA is for the brain structure, EPA is the workhorse for inflammation and mood. Since starting this high dose, I’ve seen:
Less Eczema: Calmer skin and less itchiness.
Focus: EPA is strongly linked to regulating ADHD-ish symptoms.
The "Hawker Buffer": It seems to buffer the inflammation spike when I eat "bad" meals like Hokkien Mee or Chicken Rice.
As promised, value in 2 minutes. No fluff.
See you next week,
