Welcome to this week's edition of Uncrowded Strategies.

Here are my private notes on what I’m building, building a strong marriage, my investment portfolio, and the weird things I’m doing to optimize my health this week.

⚡ The Leverage (New topic)

(Tool of the week: Typeless)

I have increased my writing output by 4x this week. The secret? I stopped typing.

I’m using a tool called Typeless. It allows me to speak my thoughts, but it doesn't just transcribe them. It uses AI to understand the context and craft a coherent message/email based on my rambling (and remove all the fillers) It works on both desktop & mobile, essentially replacing a keyboard with just your mic.

The Uncrowded Take: Typing is the bottleneck for most entrepreneurs. We can speak at 150 words per minute, but type at only 40. By closing that gap, I’m moving at the speed of thought.

Note: There are a couple of apps called Typeless, so make sure you use the right one by using my link here (you’ll also be supporting my newsletter).

🧪 The Business Experiment

(Current Focus: Client Intelligence via NotebookLM)

NotebookLM is mainly used for learning. But we are organizing "Client Identity" using Google NotebookLM.

The Setup: We upload everything related to a specific client into one notebook.

  • Funnel stats & Ad performance

  • Previous work history & Memos

  • Transcripts of every meeting we've ever had

Why this is a game changer: Even though NotebookLM already has a massive context window (1 million tokens = 8 books of information), its real power is the RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) system. It can hold up to 200 distinct sources and "retrieve" the exact info needed.

The Result: I can now ask the AI: "Based on our last 5 meetings, what is this client's biggest recurring anxiety?" or "Summarize our ad performance trends from Q1 vs Q3." It allows us to spot long-term patterns that human brains usually miss.

❤️ The Partnership (Marriage & Money)

We held a "Family Board Meeting" this week. The Agenda: I proposed taking some profits on our stock & shift 5% into a high-risk play.

The "Uncrowded" Move: The Rule of Unanimous Consent. Zoey doesn't understand investment as I do. But we have a rule: If we don't have agreement, we don't move.

It is my responsibility to explain the strategy simply enough that she genuinely understands. If I cannot explain my thesis to her or answer all of her questions, then I may not understand the subject well enough to make any move.

  • If we miss out on a rally? We missed it together.

  • If we save ourselves from a crash? We won together.

  • There is no "I told you so." Only shared outcomes.

This is what keeps our relationship strong because we are always on the same team.

💰 The Portfolio

I am taking one calculated, high-risk swing. I am allocating 5% of my net worth to a new privacy-focused blockchain called Midnight. I got a gut feeling that the next crypto narrative will be privacy-related.

The Thesis (Targeting 10x-100x):

  • The Problem: Crypto has a privacy gap. Public chains (Bitcoin) reveal everything—like posting your bank statement on Twitter. Private chains (Monero) hide everything—which regulators treat as money laundering. Enterprises can't use either; they need to protect trade secrets and follow the law.

  • The Solution: Midnight is a "Selective Privacy" chain. It uses Zero-Knowledge cryptography to let you prove a fact without revealing the data.

Think of it like showing your ID before entering a club. Right now, with public blockchains (like Bitcoin), it's like handing your ID to the bouncer; he gets more information than needed to verify your age, he now knows your name, ID number and even where you live. With Midnight, you can just show a green checkmark that says "Over 21." The bouncer verifies you are legal, but your personal data stays safe.

The Bet: As crypto matures, the next wave is Enterprise Adoption. Companies will never put their private contracts on a public ledger. Midnight is the only bridge that lets them keep secrets while staying compliant.

(Note: Pls do your own research. I am mentally prepared to lose this 5%. This is an asymmetric bet, and I don’t have a good track record of picking crypto. You’ve been warned!!)

🧬 The Protocol (Health & Weirdness)

If you have a Zoom meeting with me, you might notice I’m bobbing up and down. That's because I have a walking pad under my standing desk.

The Protocol: I walk during deep work and meetings.

Why?

  • Energy: Movement creates energy. Stationary standing is tiring; walking is energizing.

  • Focus: The mild physical engagement actually helps me stay focused.

  • The Insulin Hack: Walking right after lunch is the single best way to blunt a blood sugar spike. Lower blood sugar = less inflammation = no afternoon brain fog.

  • Steps in: And you get your steps in for weight loss.

You can find a walking pad for only $200+. It might be the cheapest investment for your health.

See you next week,

Gabriel Wong
